We have produced several toolkits for fleet operators wanting to sign up to our Engines Off campaign and wanting to reduce their vehicle emissions by tackling vehicle engine idling.

  1. Engines Off Toolkit for Businesses

This driver education and pledge toolkit provides businesses, who want to reduce their vehicle emissions and support our campaign, with all the information and resources needed to adopt, implement and communicate anti-idling practices.

The toolkit covers the following steps businesses can take to support the campaign and reduce their vehicle emissions

2. Engines Off Toolkit for Hospitals

This driver education and pledge toolkit provides hospitals, who want to reduce their vehicle emissions and support our campaign, with all the information and resources needed to adopt, implement and communicate anti-idling practices.

Our toolkits are free to use. We ask for some basic information so we can understand the reach of our campaign and have some simple terms of use for our resources (these are also listed at the bottom of this page).

So we can understand where in the UK the materials are being used, please do not distribute the downloaded material. Instead please refer colleagues to this website to download.

Terms and Conditions for the use of Engines Off Toolkit: 

  • The downloaded materials shall be used solely for their intended purpose, specifically, supporting the Engines Off campaign.
  • The downloaded materials and branding shall not be used for monetary gain or any commercial purpose.
  • Idling Action London, the Idling Action participating local authorities, the Mayor of London, the GLA and TfL accept no liability for any loss or damage that arises from the use of the materials or for any omissions or incorrect information save as required by law.
  • The Idling Action London project and the Mayor of London accept no liability for any loss or damage that arises from the use of the materials or organising and hosting an Event or for any omissions or incorrect information save as required by law.
  • Campaign materials containing reference to the Mayor of London or any logo representing the Mayor of London, the GLA or TfL must not be used during the pre-election period for the Mayor of London and London Assembly Elections
  • Where the materials, content of the material, or branding are used outside of London and not in connection specifically with the Idling Action Engine Offs campaign – for example for an idling campaign in another city, you should display, where possible, “used with the kind permission of the Idling Action London project and The Mayor of London”
  • If you would like to use our campaign materials as they are with the campaign logo, you can do so and you can add your local authority / company / campaign / school logo to the materials.
  • If you would like to use only some content from the materials for your own campaign or to make your own materials (such as the leaflet), then you may do so instead, but you will not be able to use the campaign logo.

Data Protection: Your personal details will only be used to contact you via email with regard to the Idling Action project. Your details will be shared with staff who are directly involved in running this project. Your details will not be shared with any third parties without your express permission.
