This event will happen at Great Ormond Street Hospital, on NHS Sustainability Day. We hope to use the event to raise the profile of the issue of air pollution and the effect it has on children’s health.
During the event we hope to have on display our giant air quality eco action snakes & ladders game which can be played by the public. Using the game and positive public engagement techniques, volunteers will engage with the local community while pairs of volunteers walk around the streets in the local area, engaging with drivers who are in idling vehicles and encouraging them to switch off.
We are currently recruiting a team of enthusiastic volunteers who want to be part of this innovative education and behaviour change campaign to reduce localised air pollution and improve air quality in their residential and workplace community.
If you want to be a Vehicle Idling Action Champion in Camden, please fill in the form on the Volunteers page of this website.
Please note: all volunteers must also attend one of our training sessions prior to the Action Day. Please get in touch if you have not been able to attend a training session but would like to come to an Action Event.
